Terms and Conditions

Effective date 01/11/2026.

These terms explain your subscription, our service commitments and how we handle your Trello data. Sure-Restore supplies the Service to customers worldwide, subject to applicable law and supported payment methods. Your plan and the prices accepted at checkout form part of the agreement.

1 About this agreement

1.1 Sure-Restore is operated by Sure Restore Ltd, a company established in the United Kingdom at Devonshire House, Manor Way, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, WD6 1QQ (“we”, “us” or “our”). Contact cs@sure-restore.com. [Company registration and VAT numbers, if applicable.]

1.2 These terms, your agreed subscription details and any expressly agreed Enterprise order form your contract.

1.3 An Enterprise order takes priority where it expressly changes these terms. Your mandatory legal rights take priority throughout. A consumer means an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their business or profession.

2 Your account

2.1 You must have legal capacity and authority to enter this agreement and permit us to process the relevant Trello data. Keep your account and billing details accurate, protect your credentials and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access.

2.2 You authorise access through Trello’s API and are responsible for maintaining the permissions needed to provide the Service.

2.3 Starter, Standard and Business each cover one connected Trello account. Your plan specifies board limits, included backup capacity and available features. Each protected board, including an archived board, counts towards the plan limit.

3 Subscriptions and payment

3.1 Subscriptions renew monthly and are paid in advance until cancelled. The currency, price, applicable taxes and billing dates are shown at checkout. Stripe handles subscription payments and billing. Any discount applies for the disclosed period, followed by the standard price disclosed when you subscribe.

3.2 Additional backup capacity is charged automatically in 10 GB blocks at the rate accepted at checkout. By subscribing, you authorise those variable recurring charges as your retained backup usage changes. One GB means 1,000,000,000 bytes; unchanged attachments reused within your account count once.

3.3 We send an invoice showing the amount and collection date before each recurring payment and give the notice required for your payment method and applicable law. Capacity charges arising after an invoice is issued are included in a later invoice so you receive the applicable notice before collection.

3.4 Plan changes take effect on the date and at the price shown when you confirm them. Downgrades take effect at renewal once usage meets the new allowance. We give at least 30 days’ written notice of changes to our rates, effective at a subsequent renewal.

4 Daily backups and restoration

4.1 We back up supported Trello objects daily and retain successful backups for a rolling 365 days during your active subscription. Backups depend on your Trello permissions, available capacity and service availability. The FAQs describe supported objects and operational details. Material limitations are disclosed before purchase.

4.2 Restoration creates new boards, preserving the original boards. You can restore available backups, including archived boards, into workspaces available to your connected Trello account, subject to Trello’s permissions and restrictions.

4.3 Backup and restoration capabilities depend on Trello’s API, account features and permissions. These may limit which objects and attributes can be backed up or reproduced.

4.4 Restore times vary with data volume, Trello limits and service availability. You are responsible for reviewing restore reports and checking the restored data to confirm that it meets your requirements before relying on it. Tell us promptly about unexpected results.

4.5 The Toolset gives you the ability to change and permanently delete Trello data. You are responsible for your use of the Toolset and the outcomes of operations carried out as you requested.

5 Service commitments and support

5.1 We provide the Service with reasonable care and skill and materially as described when you subscribe. Access is subject to maintenance and outages. We give reasonable notice of planned material disruption and use reasonable efforts to notify you of detected backup failures or material warnings.

5.2 Email support is available at cs@sure-restore.com. We aim to acknowledge requests within two business days. Keep your contact details current and review service notices.

5.3 If your usage places unusually high demands on the Service, we discuss suitable arrangements with you. We may apply proportionate temporary controls to protect service stability and security. Any additional charges require agreement.

5.4 Report material service failures to us so we can investigate and remedy them. If we cannot remedy a material failure within a reasonable time, you may end the affected service and receive a refund for its unused prepaid period, alongside any other applicable legal remedies.

6 Your content and our software

6.1 You and the relevant rights holders retain ownership of your content. You authorise us and our contracted providers to process it as needed to provide the Service under this agreement and complete the agreed retention and deletion process. We keep customer content confidential and restrict access to authorised people who need it in order to deliver the Service.

6.2 We retain ownership of our software, documentation and branding. Your subscription grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its agreed purpose during the subscription.

7 Cancellation, suspension and closure

7.1 Cancel through your account or email cs@sure-restore.com. Ordinary cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and prevents automatic renewal. You may also use the optional form in clause 7.2. We acknowledge online cancellation by email.

7.2 If you are a consumer, you may cancel within 14 days after entering this agreement, or within any longer period required by applicable law, by emailing cs@sure-restore.com or making any other clear statement. If you expressly request that the Service starts during this period, you must pay a proportionate amount for the Service supplied before you cancel, calculated against the agreed subscription price. We refund the balance within 14 days after receiving your cancellation, using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed. Refunds are made without undue delay and without a refund fee.

Optional cancellation form: To Sure Restore Ltd, Devonshire House, Manor Way, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, WD6 1QQ. cs@sure-restore.com. I give notice that I cancel my Sure-Restore subscription. Ordered on: ____. Customer name: ____. Account email: ____. Address: ____. Date: ____. Signature, only if sent on paper: ____.

7.3 For ordinary cancellation, access continues until the end of the paid period and fees cover that period. Refunds remain available for incorrect charges, the circumstances stated in these terms and any statutory entitlement.

7.4 If payment fails, we notify you and may suspend paid functions. If payment remains outstanding, we may terminate on 14 days’ written notice. We may suspend access promptly where needed to address a security threat, unlawful use, serious breach or legal requirement. For other material breaches, we give a reasonable opportunity to remedy the issue before termination.

7.5 We may end this agreement and discontinue the Service on at least 30 days’ written notice for genuine reasons, including business, operational or legal reasons. We refund prepaid fees for the period after termination. Data is handled under section 10.9.

8 Your data when the service ends

8.1 Backups and restores stop when the paid subscription ends. We handle retained data under this section and section 10.9.

8.2 Unless you request earlier return or deletion under section 10.9, we retain available backup content for 30 days after the subscription ends, subject to normal 365-day expiry, then delete it from active systems within a further 30 days. Protected disaster recovery copies expire within 90 days after active deletion and remain isolated from ordinary use until then, subject to legal retention requirements.

8.3 Deleting your connection between Sure-Restore and Trello prevents further backup and restoration but does not end your subscription.

9 Responsibility and liability

9.1 These terms do not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited or exclude your mandatory legal rights.

9.2 For business customers, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with this agreement, whether in contract, negligence or otherwise, in each contract year is limited to the fees paid or payable for the affected Service in the 12 months immediately before the first event giving rise to a claim in that year. A contract year is a 12-month period beginning on your subscription start date or its anniversary. This is one combined cap for all claims allocated to that year; related events are allocated to the year of the first event.

9.3 Subject to section 9.1, for business customers we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss and for lost profits, revenue, anticipated savings, business opportunities or goodwill.

9.4 We are responsible for our own performance. To the extent a failure is caused by your misuse, withdrawn permissions, inaccessible source data or events outside our reasonable control, we use reasonable efforts to reduce its impact and resume the affected service.

10 Data processing

10.1 This section applies where we process personal data on your behalf under UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 or EU GDPR, as applicable. You are the controller, or a processor authorised by its controller; we are your processor or subprocessor. You are responsible for the lawful basis, notices and authority needed for us to provide the Service using your data.

10.2 We process personal data in your Trello content for backup, storage, retrieval, restoration, support and deletion during the subscription and the periods in section 8. Depending on your content, this includes identity and contact information, communications and files about your staff, collaborators, clients and other people, including sensitive information where present.

10.3 We process your Trello data only to provide the Service described in this agreement, using your account settings and the operations and support you request, unless otherwise required by law. This agreement and those recorded choices constitute your instructions to us; separate documentation is unnecessary. We inform you beforehand of legally required processing where permitted and promptly tell you if a request appears to breach applicable data protection law.

10.4 We bind authorised personnel to confidentiality and apply appropriate technical and organisational security measures under Article 32, including access controls, encryption and measures to maintain confidentiality, integrity, availability and recovery. Our Privacy Policy describes the encryption used. We regularly assess the effectiveness of our measures and provide relevant information on reasonable request.

10.5 We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a hosting subprocessor. You authorise this processing and our appointment of other providers needed for the Service that offer appropriate security, confidentiality and legally compliant processing. We impose equivalent data protection obligations on subprocessors and remain responsible for their performance. We give advance written notice of proposed additions or replacements, with a reasonable opportunity to object on data protection grounds. We seek to resolve objections before the change affects your data; if no suitable solution is available, either party may end the affected service with a refund of unused prepaid fees.

10.6 We deliver the Service globally, with the application and customer backup data hosted in AWS Ireland. We may use additional hosting locations subject to applicable data protection law and any required notice or authorisation. International transfers use legally recognised protections where required, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

10.7 We notify you without undue delay after becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting your data and provide available information and updates. Taking account of the processing and information available, we assist you with individual rights requests, security, breach reporting, impact assessments and regulatory consultation as required by law.

10.8 We provide information needed to demonstrate compliance with applicable processor obligations and allow and contribute to legally required audits and inspections by you or your appointed auditor, subject to reasonable confidentiality and security arrangements.

10.9 When processing ends, we return or delete personal data at your choice and delete existing copies unless law requires retention. Email cs@sure-restore.com to request return or deletion. Section 8 sets out the default arrangements; we follow earlier lawful requests without undue delay. Residual recovery copies remain protected and beyond ordinary use until securely deleted. These data processing obligations take priority over conflicting terms for their subject matter.

11 Changes and governing law

11.1 We may update these terms for legal, security, platform or reasonable service-development reasons. We give at least 30 days’ email notice of material changes. If a change disadvantages you, you may end the affected service before it applies and receive any unused prepaid fees. Necessary urgent legal or security changes may take effect sooner, with prompt notice.

11.2 We may transfer the agreement to a successor operating the Service, on advance notice identifying the new supplier. Your existing contractual rights continue, and we obtain consent where required by law.

11.3 Contact cs@sure-restore.com about complaints or disputes. English and Welsh law governs this agreement, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction for business disputes, subject to mandatory law. Consumers retain applicable mandatory protections and court rights where they live. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply.
